Accredited Investors and Qualified Clients

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) posts the legal definition of Accredited Investors, under Rule 501 of regulation D.

This definition addresses many circumstances of individuals, couples, organizations, and other entities. The main items that many investors find of interest are as follows:

Minimum Net Worth of $1,000,000, excluding the value of the primary residence

Minimum annual income of $200,000 for an individual and $300,000 for a couple

Qualified Clients of a specific investment advisor have $1 Million of assets under management by that advisor or a net worth of over $2,100,000.

Consult your Family Legacy Concepts rep-advisor for applicability of products for Accredited Investors and Qualified Clients. Certain states have more restrictive investment mix guidelines than others. The overall blend of currently-held portfolio holdings affects the suitability of your next acquisition.
